Save money on food!

Hi Reader ,

Today, I'm going to talk about spending money on food!

Food is an area where many people overspend!

I am guilty of this, so as I write, I'm reminding myself too!

So, this week's Money Saving Challenge is to guess how much you spend on eating out, take aways and groceries last month.

Then, calculate how much you actually spent.

Reader , don't get discouraged if the number is a whole lot bigger than you first thought! Celebrate the fact that you now know and you can create an action plan to spend less!

Here are a few ideas on how you can reduce how much money you spend on food:

  • Pack a lunch instead of buying it!
  • Buy generic items at the grocery shop
  • Look in your larder and freezer, make a list of what you already have available at home.
  • Use that list to plan your meals for the week ahead and make a list of what you need!
  • Determine how much money would you like to spend on food for the month ahead.

If you liked these ideas, then you might like to read my blog 'Reduce Your Food Bill'. It's got lots of practical ways that you can, well, reduce your food bill!

I'd also like to hear from you and know what you'd like my weekly emails to cover.
